Learnings & Thoughts

3 Ideas and Learnings
01 - "The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, and wiser people so full of doubts."
This is also known as the Dunning Kruger effect and once you know about it, it gets way easier to see if someone is a real expert. I use this especially when doing research about fitness and business. Two areas that are filled with people trying to sell you false information. Look out for things like: "This works 100% of the time".
02 - You can’t prove your value to someone who isn’t interested in seeing it.
This is especially useful in your personal and professional life. Whether you feel like your boss isn't seeing the value you're bringing to the team or your partner isn't seeing the same future you are, sometimes the best thing to do is to part ways. It can be very draining to feel like you aren't being valued and consistently trying to prove your value.
03 - Context Switching and why you should avoid it.
I found two ways of getting more things done in a day: work more or work better. Both can be done together of course. But working better and being more productive gives you way more leverage than just working more. One of the ways I achieve higher productivity is to set focus time where nothing can disturb me.
The reason why is that if an email takes your attention for 2 minutes and then it takes you 20 minutes to get back into a high-focus state, you can see how you would lose both time and quality work. I therefore batch small tasks like slacks and emails together and set all my devices in DND so nothing makes me switch context unless I want to. I usually set a 90min timer as you might've seen in my Instagram Reels!
Another pro tip is that when switching context, you can change more than your task. Ever since my job got their new office, I ended up doing different tasks in different areas. I also do this at home. I'm very productive in my office but more creative in my living room.

Outlive: The Science and Art of Longevity
A book I'm currently reading on health and longevity. An interesting idea is about Lifespan vs Healthspan. Why would you want to live to 100 years old if the last 40 years you are unhealthy and life is miserable? 80 years of a healthy life is worth more than 100 of an unhealthy life.
Beacons AI
The new link in bio platform I'm using. Yes after rebuilding my own link in bio directly on my website, I switched to Beacons. Here are 5 reasons why:
Always up-to-date media kit
Short custom links for tracking links anywhere
Email marketing
Selling digital products
Easily modify your LIB on your phone
Beacons can really do it all and it does it very well. Also their price is very fair considering all they offer.
